
Motor Insurance
Motor insurance consists of two primary components: The mandatory liability insurance and the voluntary comprehensive insurance.

- •Comprehensive insurance (voluntary)
- •Cars, vans, trucks
- •Trailers and work machinery
Mandatory Liability Insurance
Mandatory liability insurance covers the compensation liability that may arise from damage. The insurance covers up to the following amounts per claim:
- •Personal injury/loss of provider: up to DKK 132 million
- •Property damage: up to DKK 26 million
- •Amounts are adjusted annually on January 1st
- •Coverage applies in Denmark, EU, and non-EU countries participating in the Green Card system
Comprehensive Insurance
Comprehensive insurance is voluntary but often required by lenders or mortgagees. Typical exclusions include:
- •Rust, wear, paint scratches, and stone chips
- •Mechanical and electrical damage (except in case of fire, lightning, explosion, theft, robbery, vandalism, or during transport)
- •Intentional damage or gross negligence
- •Damage while under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or similar
